I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated
28th August (Ref. 38049/1925) for which I thank you.
Our Engineer has gone through the draft Agreement
as sent by you and finds it to be in accordance with the
provisional decisions reached at the conference held at the
Colonial Office on the 7th August.
My Birectors have no observations to make on the
draft Agreement as it now stands, and would be pleased if
you would forward a copy to the
Political Resident
A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency.
