memorandum hag now under one further revision, and 1
enclose tiiree copies of it in its final form. The
Colonial Office have sent copies direct to the Gulf.

cover the special case of Colonel Dickson's
correspondence with Ibn Baud, papers regardm ; winch
have been sent to you separately. The Forei** Office,
with the concurrence of the Colonial Office, took ti e
view that, as it had bean agreed that this was to be a
personal and temporary arrangement* it hardly seemed
suitable for inclusion in the new general instructions.
