his own importance. He gave the Mekran Mission
much trouble by stopping camels coming in and re
fusing to allow grain to be sold. He resents inter
ference from his uncle Mahmud Khan hence the rela
tions between them are often strained.
EVE 1 SKI 7 . Appointed Russian Consul, Kerman, 19th
March, 1921. Lethargic and a heavy drinker.—Ap
parently at heart a Menshevik. Whilst he is In
Kerman, Bolshevik intrigue or propaganda not likely
to be violent or vigorous.
