Sir,
Krans 39345
Krans 47660.
*'. r ith reference to your despatch No. 24 (K 9361/8151/234)
of October 6th 1931 relative to the office allowance of
this post, I have the honour to recommend the continuance
of the increases in the pay of the staff and of certain
items of the allowance. There has been no change in local
conditions in favour of the staff, prices of imported
commodities having continued to rise.
2) - In view however of the instructions of Circular
despatch (K 11643/11643/250) of October 16th, I have made
arrangements to dispense with the services, at the end of
the year, of one ghulam, the office farash and one grooiji
and to reduce the escort horses to two. I have not been
able to dispose of the two horses yet as they are over
sixteen years old, whilst buyers fear they may be requisi
tioned from them for the campaign in Kurdistan.
3) - On the above reduction of establishment, the
annual office allowance at the present rates will amount
to Krans Thirty nine thousand three hundred and forty five,
as shown in column 4 of the detailed statement transmitted
herewith, instead of the sum of Krans Forty seven thousand
six hundred and sixty (see column 2 of the above statement).
I have, etc. ,
