4. I understand that these terms are taken iron: the
Iraq concession to the Board of Trade (? Id32) , with the
exception of the initial payment of £200,000 gold, which
has heen added by the Saudi Arabian Government.
5. The Saudi Government seem to have told the
California Arabian Standard Oil Company of this proposal
which they have made to the Japanese Minister. The
Minister is stated to have approved it '’personally'' and
to have said that he would submit it to his Government.

representative of Petroleum development (Western Arabia)
