I am commanded dy the Army Council to reply
to your K 5328/3498/234 of 31st May 1944, on the
subject of the supplies of army rations to His
Majesty’s Council General at BUSHIRE and his staff.
I am instructed to say that the Army Council
has noted the exceptional conditions prevailing at
BUSHIME, and, in the circumstances, has been
pleased to approve the issue of rations as requested.
This issue will be made on repayment, in accordance
v/ith existing Army Council instructions, and the
necessary authority has, accordingly, been
dispatched to Persia-Iraq Command in Baghdad.
