(a) Confidential letter in connection with Article 15. See
paragraph No.Sfof my express letter No ^39Q S , 15th July, 1938.
Arabic translation was not referred to in India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors. P.E.7662,
18th November. I suggest that I fair my translation of this and
hand it to the Sultan. You will see that the term "His Highness"
is used in the draft Arabic text but not in the English. This is a
point I can arrange personally with the Sultan. Terra "His Highness"
is of course not being used in the Treaty vide paragraph No. 3 of rr^
letter No. 0. 43J ^ 6th July.
(b) Port dues in connection with Article 7. This will be settled
when assurance is received from Government of India (vide India
Office letter dated November I5th). I am asking Government of India
for telegraphic reply.
(c) Privileges for Consul,
(d) Residence of Consul. No further action necessary, see (e)
and (g) of my express letter 390 S of July 15th,
