emoluments of Major Tandy, formerly
Political Agent
A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency.

We note that the Government of Pakistan state that
there is no connection between the deputation allowance and
the local compensatory allowance and we agree that
Major Tandy may receive:-
(1) Cost of living allowance at Rs.263 P»ni. from
15th August to 31st December 1947 and at Rs. 150
thereafter (he finally left Koweit on April 15 th
1948).
(2) Local compensatory allowance of Rs. 150 p.m.
(3) Deputation allowance of Rs. 375 P-ni.
