Saudi Koweit blockade.
The amended draft Regulations enclosed with Jedda
despatch No. 77 of 25th April were scrutinised by Mr.Brenan,
Captain de Gaury and myself at a meeting held at the
India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors. on 29th May. We were all agreed that they

Yasin agrees the way will then be clear (subject to any
observations which the Political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. may have to ^
offer) for an a-pproaoh to the Sheikh of Koweit. The
method of approach to the Sheikh of Koweit will require
careful consideration, particularly in view of the Saudi
insistence that there should also be an Extradition Treaty
and a Treaty of Friendship and Bon Voisinage, but this
