FolloVtrig is repetition of Baghdad telegram No.31
dated December 6 th. Begins.
Mission of Petroleum Besources Corporation of
America is scheduled to arrive \badan on December 8 th
and remain in Anglo-Persian areas until December 15th.
2. Mission will visit Kuwait on December 16th and
will be accompanied by Mr.L.D. Scott of Kuwait Oil Co.
3. Mission is headed by Mr. Degolyer and party
consists of about 6 members using American Service plane.
4. Mission is sponsored by U.S.A. and British Dovem-
ments and its purpose is to ^ view the resources of
petroleum in the Middle Bast.
5. Would you please inform Sheikh of Kuwait of forth
coming visit?
6 . British Government are anxious that Mission be
accorded every assistance and ?provide d with any
information they may require. No attempts should be made
to influence their conclusions.
7. Subsequent provisional programme of Mission is:
December 17th to DAMMAD
December 18 th to BAHRAIN
December 19th & December 20th - Air reconnaissance
^ down Gulf.
December 21st in BAHRAIN
BASRAH & BAGHDAD.
CAIRO.
