Commercial.
Bahrein is the commercial capital of the Gulf
and the centre of the pearl trade.
Amenities.
Bahrein possesses greater amenities of civilisation
than Koweit. Its people are more progressive and it
has a small European community which will probably grow
in the event of a development of its oil interests. It
has better facilities for obtaining electric power and
plant. Unlike Koweit it has trees, verdure, and good
roads; most stores and conveniences are obtainable
locally and some facilities exist for recreation.
