territory in the event of unforeseen emergencies*
(b) To afford a convenient depot for Royal Air Force Stores,
fuel, etc. in anticipation of the opening up of
the Basrah-Aden Air Route*
With regard to (a)* Major Bremner refers to the possibility
of the evacuation of henjam. Should this occur, however, the
alternative Naval Station on the Arabian Coast will not be at
Muscat, and I think any other possible emergency is too un
certain to be taken into consideration.
