to "Bahrain" occurring in the First
General List of Asiatic Names.
Sir,
With further reference to your letter of the 17th
March, 1933, on the above subject, I am directed to forward
herewith, for your information, a copy of an endorsement
No.F.136-N/33 dated the 27th September, 1933 from the
Foreign and Political Department of the Government of India,
with enclosures, and to say that the Government of India
have expressed the hope that the Permanent Committee on
Geographical Names will now issue the necessary amendment
to the First General List of Asiatic Names.
