The map shows the Middle East from the head of the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , to the eastern Mediterranean and the Black Sea, indicating relief, hydrology and settlement. The map has been amended in different shades of green shading to indicate Italian zones of occupation and zones of influence which it was desired by the Italians to transform into zones of occupation.

The map bears the statement 'Map to go with Paper 95567'. The map was prepared in London by Edward Stanford.
