The successor to the Court of Directors. and the following: the Government of India Foreign and Political Department; the High Commissioner for Egypt, Sir (Arthur) Henry McMahon; the Foreign Office; the Colonial Office; and the War Office. The file also includes correspondence between the High Commissioner for Egypt, Sir (Arthur) Henry McMahon, and the Foreign Office, and between the High Commissioner for Egypt and the Secretary to the Government of India in the Foreign and Political Department.

The file includes photographic copies of the silk letters, which are written in Urdu (folios 63 to 66).
