of the 6th January regarding the imprisonment of Gopaldas

Kewalram Laraee in Gibraltar, I am directed by Mr. Secretary
Eden to transmit, herewith copy of a despatch from His Majesty’s
Consul-General at Rabat, suggesting that, in view of the
medical report on the prisoner’s state of health, he should
be sent to India to serve the remainder of his sentence.
2. I am to express the hope that early arrangements
for the prisoner’s transfer to India under the Colonial
Prisoners* Removal Act, 1884 will be made direct between
the Colonial Office and the
India Office

Correspondence connected to the murder conviction in the Tangier International Zone of British subject, Ramchand Tarachand. Much of the correspondence is interdepartmental, between officials at the Foreign Office, Home Office, Colonial Office, and India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947.
