/Vy dtutr fltCLzvzrty,
I have rocajved your letter of th^ 3Cth ?, : ay 1922
about your friend who wishes to shoot at T'uscat.
I think that the bast plan would be for him to con
sult th* Political \gent at Vuscat (la jor i\ F. Raw), but T
am afraid that there is very little chance of his being able
to go into the interior of ’Oman, as the country has been
in a state of rpbellion for th<* last 8 or 9 years and X
do not think that it would be possible for any stranger #
especially a Christian, to travel s .fely there*.
The animal in question, the tahr, Isa goat known
•Jayakar’ s wild goat".
I am sending a copy of this letter to the Political
Agent at Kuecat in case your fri ond decides to wrj te to
him. I assume that he is s British sublet as otherwise
we should not be prppered to assist him.
