I am directed by Viscount Halifax to inform you
that a request has been received in the Department of
Overseas Trade from WJI. Waugh 8c Company, coal merchants and
shippers, of 11, Bothwell Street Glasgow, C.2., for names

of importers of foundry coke in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. .
2. As these names are not available in the
Department, I am to request you to endeavour to supply a
suitable list for transmission to the firm.
3. A copy of this despatch has been forwarded
to the Secretary to His Majesty’s Consul-General at
Bushire.
