Dear HardInge,
On the 22nd December last you sent me back
the submission signed by His Majesty as to the grant
of the title "His Highness" to the Sheikhs of Bahrein
and Kowelt. We have now heard from the Political
Resident In the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. that these two rulers
have been Informed of the change of style of address
for them and that they have expressed great pleasure
and asked that their sincere thanks may be conveyed
to the King for the honour which His Majesty has
accorded to them.
