as regards (b) they feel your proposals rather too much
like suggesting a bargain. Might it not be best to
simply tell Sultan that in view of the very close rela
tions existing between him and His Majesty f s Government
and of their common interests His Majesty T s Government
hope His Highness will not fail to inform them as he has
done in the past of any communicationswhich he proposes
to make to foreign Powers?
