40. Mr. M.A. Rashid, Director General of Customs, left for
Quryat on tour on the 4th, and returned to Muscat on the 9th.
41* A consignment of aviation petrol shipped by the A.I.O.C.,
Abadan, to Masirah and Salalah for the use of Royal Air Force
stationed there, through their Agents in Muscat, was detained
by the Muscat Customs authorities at Muscat pending the pro
duction of a certificate that the consignment was for the use
of the Royal Air Force.
Later, it was released on condition that a landing
certificate from the Royal Air Force at Masirah and Salalah
will be produced to them within three months.
GWADIIR .
42. Mr. Sardul Singh, Locust Warning Officer, Panjgur,
and Captain Abdul Majid, M.B.B.S., Medical Officer, Panjgur,
visited Gwadur on the 28th January. Captain Abdul Majid
informed the British Agent that there were 6 cases of small
pox in Mund and that he had vaccinated about 1000 persons
during his tour.
43. Mr. Anderson and Mr. Sunter of B.I.S.N.Co., arrived
at Gwadur in s.s. w Barjora H on the 31st January. They
attended a meeting of the local merchants and discussed with
them the various difficulties in shipping service. They
left the same day for Karachi.
44* It is reported that the Wall of Gwadur, Saiyid
Badr bin Saud, has applied for leave on medical grounds.
45. Reference Serial No.386 of 1946.
Mr. Abdur Rahman, Administrator for Gwadur, is
expected to return to Gwadur via Quetta shortly.
TRIBAL AFFAIRS .
46 . Reports from the interior say that the Imam has re
cently shown signs of an improvement in health.

47. S.S *Barala M arrived from India on the 13th and
left for the Gulf the same day.
48. The A.I.O.C. Tanker "Khusistan* called at Muscat
on the 2nd and left for Abadan on the 4th.
