The correspondence is mainly concerned with a request from E D Sassoon and Company for its purchases of immovable properties in Basra to be registered by the British authorities. The principal correspondents are the following: the Officiating Civil Commissioner in Baghdad (Lieutenant-Colonel Arnold Talbot Wilson), the Deputy Secretary to the Government of India's Foreign and Political Department, and E D Sassoon and Company.
