overlooked some later developments on this question.

dence that our views on the ownership of the islands

As regards Farsi, Arabi,^and Quran the Political
Representative considered that these belonged to Kuwait.
His proposal was that the Sheik should assert his ~
sovereignty by hoisting his flag, but this proposal
was objected to on political grounds and it was ultimately
decided that the P.R should consider other less obstrusive
methods of asserting sovereignty.

As regards Hatul the P.R was in favour of the
Sheik of Abu Dhobi showing his flag and there was
general concurrence in this proposal.
