I hare the honour to report that on the 26th
January, accoapanieu by Colonel Galloway, the folitical
Agent, Bahrain, I rlsited ekhah, a small port situated
on the west side of the msandam peninsula* I enclose
a copy of a note on the plaee recorded by Colonel Galloway*
2* So far as I am aware the place has not
preriously been eisiteu by a political officer. The
Shaikh said a letter from the folitical Besident had been
receired by one of hia preaeceaiora fifty years Hgo, but
searched for It In rain. The last steamer rlsited the
pltce seven years ago when a naval doctor was sent ashore
to deal with a small**pox epidemic.
