In continuation of my Express letter Ho.1365/2, dated the
24th December 1927, I am directed to forward herewith a copy
of an endorsement by the Commissioner in Sind Ho.13960-A/II,
dated the 31st December 1927 and of its accompaniments showing
the authority on which the Assistant Prosecutor for Sind based
his allegation in the Sessions Case 19 of 1927 that “traffic
in slaves had become very common and several Makranis were
plying a lucrative trade*.

Sir,
I have the honour to state that the statement that
the traffic in slaves had become very common and that several
Makranis were plying a lucrative trade, or words to this
effect, was made by the Assistant Public Prosecutor in Session
Case 19 of 1927, the record of which has been sent by the Court
of the Judicial commissioner of Sind to the Commissioner in
Sind. 1 have asked the Assistant Public Prosecutor his
authority for this statement and he nas shown me the following
pieces of evidence.-
(a) on the 23rd Hovember 1926 seven of tne principal Hindus
of Dubai made a petition to the Political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. and Consul
General for Bushire in which tney brought to his notice that
one Abdullah Munarmnad Dewar was carrying on a trade in boys
