Having regard to the provisions of Article V of the Concession
Agreement dated the 2nd December 1925, made between His Excellency Sheikh
Hamad bin Sheikh Isa A1 Khalifah and The Eastern & General Syndicate
Limited, and pursuant to the application made by The Bahrein Petroleum
Company Limited (who at that time held the Agreement in the place of The
Eastern k General Syndicate Limited), dated 28th December 1934, a Wining
Lease was granted by His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Sheikh Isa Al
Khalifah, acting on the advice of the Honorable the Political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency.

on 29th December 1934, but the date having been omitted from the blank
space provided for it on the last page of the said Wining Lease, The
Bahrein Petroleum Company Limited are hereby authorized to insert in their
original copy of the Lease the figure "29th" in the blank space before the
words "day of December 1934" in the last line of the second paragraph on
the last page (page 26) of the said Lease,

The file comprises telegrams, despatches, correspondence, memoranda, and notes relating to the precise terms of the oil concession in Bahrain and in particular issues regarding the translation of the lease from English to Arabic.
