Jombay Legislature, and in accordance with the powers vested
ill and the course of procedure and practice observed by ai
before the Courts in the Province of Bombay beyond the limits
of the ordinary original jurisdiction of the High Court of Pudi-
catune at Bombay, according to their respective jurisdiction and
author^, and so far as such enactments, powers, pr/cedure
and pra^ice are inapplicable shall be exercised in accordance
with justice, equity, and good conscience.
(2) TheVnactments mentioned in the Schedule t6 this Order
shall as from the commencement of this Ordey apply to all
persons subject to this Order, but subject to the following excep
tions, adaptations and modifications: —
(i) The Inaian Merchant Shipping .4CC/1923: —

(ii) The InAian Christian Marriage 1872.—For the
purposes of this Act, the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. , as long
as Ke is a Christian, shall be deemed to be Registrar
off Marriages.
(hi) Tye Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act of
'1886. —For the purposes of this Ac\ the Political
Agent shall be deemed to be Registnir-General of
Births, Deaths and Marriages and Registrar of Births
and Deaths.
(3yAny other existing or future enactments of me Indian
Legislature or of the Bombay Legislature may be applied to
Qajfer by King’s Regulations under Article 83 of this (Mer.
'(4) Any Act of the Indian Legislature, or of the Bombay
legislature, whether passed before or after the commencement
