5th October, 1916.
REPORT by James Baker ol his interview with r. 0.
Brandly in London on his return from Kerman, Persia.
kr. Brandly at my request came to London about the
20th may.
lie reported what had taken place in Kerman which
was virtually covered by his written statement ol the 12th
January, 1916, but with the following important addition.
vdien Mr. Zugraayer took possession ol' the stock of
carpets he agreed to leave the cash with Brandly condi-
‘tional to the cash being handed over if called for.
Nothing further is stated in his report with regard to
this transaction. Mr. Brandly now informs me that i/fr.
Zugmayer called for the cash amounting to icpoo Tomans 10,000 Persian dinars, or a gold coin of that value.
and gave Jx. Brandly a receipt in duplicate. Mr. Brandly
was then allowed to forward the original receipt (addres
sed to himself at Zurich) in the German Consular bag
which was to go to Berlin via Baghdad Constantinople

Berlin. The duplicate receipt he left at his house in
Kerman - keeping a copy to submit to me, and 1 got him to
give me a signed declaration of this transaction, which
reads as follows
