(paragraph 234 of 1924) returned to Bushire
on the 18th and left Bahrain on the 25th
to assume charge of the appointment of

Captain Ghulam Ahmad Khan, I.M.S.,
arrived at Bushire on the 18th and assumed
charge of the Indian Station Hospital,
Bushire, from Captain J. J. Rooney, I.M.S.
The latter left for India on the 30th.
57. Consular Escorts.—
The reliefs for the Consular cavalry
escorts at Bushire and Shiraz arrived at
Bushire on the 18th. The latter party
left for Shiraz on the 20th (See paragraph
62).
58. Opium.—
25 cases of opium for Singapore were
shipped by Messrs. Haji Muhammad
Baqir Behbehani on the 23rd by the British
India Steam Navigation Company’s steamer
“ Vasna ”.
the 28th, bringing Herr Scheurlen a Direct
or of the Company, and Herr and Frau
Erich von Salzmann, Journalists, who left
for India immediately afterwards. It left
on the 31st for Tehran carrying Herr
Scheurlen and Captain Khatchikhin (See
paragraph 60).
60. Persian Neavy.—
The crow ofthe Persian gunboat “ Mu-
zaffari ”, having received no pay for the last
four months, struck work on the 17th.
They were arrested and imprisoned by the
Officer Commanding Persian troops, Bushire
but were released after two days and paid
a portion of their arrears of pay.

Messrs. Mirza Ghulam Hussain Kazeruni
and Sons of Bushire notified that a Junker
aeroplune was due to arrive from Tehran on
the 25th and would carry two passengers
on its return flight to Tehran at a charge of
Tomans 10,000 Persian dinars, or a gold coin of that value. 300 each. The machine arrived on

The volume includes a divider which gives the subject number, the year the subject file was opened, the subject heading, and a list of correspondence references by year. This is placed at the back of the correspondence.
