October at E below regarding the circulation to the
Persian Gulf
The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran.
Sub-Committee of the Supplementary
Peporus received on questions of interest to the
Committee from the Government of India, I now submit
for consideration the following telegrams!-
(a) Viceroy’s telegram of 13th October 2068-S.
Persian Gulf
The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran.
Wireless Stations.
(b) Viceroy’s telegram of 15th October 2084-S.
Question of substituting for our veiled protectorates
in the Gulf regular treaties of protection.
(c) Telegraphic correspondence between the
Government of India and the
Political Resident
A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency.

relative to the establishment in Bahrein of a
Persian Agent.
2. I submit that authority may be given
for the circulation of all these papers, subject, for the
reasons set out in the following paragraphs, to the
inclusion in the covering memorandum by the Secretary
of state, of reservations on the lines suggested in
the draft now submitted.
3. The first telegram calls for no special
comment and adds little to the
