ish Legion Branch in Kuwait.
When approached by individuals for permission to form
Branches of the Legion in Overseas British Territories, it is
our custom to confirm with the Government Dept., concerned
that they have no objection to the fornation of such a Branch.
In this connection, I write to say that we have to-day
received a letter from an employee of the Kuwait Oil Company
Limited, saying that there are some 200 British Ex Servicemen in the
district with the prospect of many more entering the territory.
In addition, there are a considerable number of native ex-service
men.
He is confident that the management of the Company will
be pleased to help in the formation of the Branch, and before pursu
ing this matter any further we should be much obliged if you could
let us have your confirmation that you have no objection to such
a formation.
yours faithfully.
Assistant Secretary.
