I am directed by Lord Newton to transmit
to you Herewith to be laid before the Secretary
of State, for India, a copy- of a note from the
United States Ambassador, and of a letter from the
Prisoners of War Infoirnation Bureau with regard to
the v/hereabouts of Lieutenant Voigt.
It would appear from your letter P.388 2/4
of the 22nd September (page 3 of enclosure)
that Voigt was in August last being despatched to
Quetta as a prisoner.
Lord Newton would be glad, to learn v/here he now
is and whether the German Government may be
informed of his whereabouts.
