I am directed by Secretary Sir Austen uhamberl&in
to acknowledge the receipt of your letter No. P 140 of
February 6th relative to the revision of f, Aitchison 1 s
Treatiea' T and to return to you, herewith, the proof which
was enclosed therein of the Narrative, Treaties, Agreements
etc. relating to Aden and the South coast of Arabia.
2. The Secretary of State has now received a copy of
Colonial Office letter No. 69286/29 of February 21st to
your Department on this subject, and concurs generally with
the views expressed therein, more especially as regards
the additions which it is suggested should be made on
page 37 of the proof on the subject of the Treaties with
the Idrisi of 1915 and 1917*
3. The position in regard to these Treaties, which was
fully discussed in paragraphs 3, 4 and 5 of Foreign Office
letter No. iii 3382/119/91 of September 3rd, 1927, is in
some respects not entirely clear, but the Secretary of
State does not desire to offer any objection to the
publication of the Treaties, which, it appears, is
approved by the Secretary of State for the colonies.

publication the Anglo-furkish Convention of March 4th, 1914
with the annexed Protocols of 1903, 1904 and 1905 respecting
