Copy 01 letter ITo.6325/533/4 dated the 27th/28th August
1920 from the Deputy Accountant General, (Civil) Baghdad, to
the Accountant General, Bombay.
In continuation of my Memo. No.21726 dated the 3rd
March 1920 I forward herewith in original with all available
vouchers, an account rendered by Captain N.N.Bray of the
advance o^. Hs.15,000/- received by him from you in connection
with the Bahrein Mission to United Kingdom.
The account shows a closing balance of Rs.33/12/6 and
£ 235/16/li. Of this Rs.20/- is refundable to Captain Bray
being balance of Rs. 147/3/- advanced by him to the Mission
account (Rs. 127/3/- only have been refunded to him - vide
debit entry for £ 9/10/6) in petty account, sheet VI) and
£ 35/13/5 represents roughly the unaccountable expenditure
debitable to the Mission which he requests to be written off.
I attach an extract from Captain Bray*s letter explaining the
circumstances in which it was not possible to record in
detail the disbursements made by him in Paris en route to
England.
The net balance is therefore Rs.13/12/6 and £200/3/6
regarding the disposal of which please instruct Captain
N.N.E. Bray direct.
