I have the honour to invite a reference to your letter dated
26-—1922 to the Secretary to Ihe Political Department, India
Office, repardin 0 '* the accounts of Bahrein Mission.
-1-1921 dated 9-9-1920 is not understood as this letter deals with
a different matter and was not addressed to you. The correct
reference may, therefore, he quoted. No supplementary accounts
dated 25-9-1920 appears to have been received in this office
from you.
With regard to the statement in para. 6 of your letter and
in the enclosure ’’A” thereto, that a sum of Rs. 146-2-11 is due to
you, from out of the original account, I may state that as out
of the sum of Rs.147-3-0 advanced hy you for Eission expense?, a
sum of Rs. 127-3-0 was already drawn hy you from the Mission Funds
( vide the iter of £ 15-9-10 on the expenditure side of your
original account), a sum of Rs.20/- only is due to you.
With reyard to the amount of closing balance in your
hands, I would observe that the balance of Rs.4,437-4-2 referred

This part contains correspondence regarding the visit of a Mission (deputation) consisting of ‘Abdullah bin ‘Īsá Āl Khalīfah, son of Shaikh Isa of Bahrein [Bahrain], Abdullah’s son Muhammad, Abdullah’s Private Secretary Jasim Cheravi, and a personal servant, to the United Kingdom and Paris in 1919.
