take the following form.
2. On returning to Bahrain, and preferably after the
settlement of the Zubarah 18th-century town located 105 km from Doha. question, (there would appear to be
no particular hurry about the Order in Council A regulation issued by the sovereign of the United Kingdom on the advice of the Privy Council. ), you should
have a personal interview with the Shaikh on my behalf and
explain in the terms of India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors. letter -No. P.Z. 1196/37,
dated the 27th March 1937 to the Government of India
(a) the change in the phrase in the definition of ^atar
subject in Article 4 of the draft Order in Council A regulation issued by the sovereign of the United Kingdom on the advice of the Privy Council. from
“any person, not being a British subject, who is a national
of any other Moslem State* to *any Moslem person, other than
a Corporation, not being a British subject*.
(b) The classes of persons and cases in respect of which

The papers concern the discussion of the need for the order, its drafting, issue, and distribution, as well as its revision in 1939.

Correspondence with the Shaikh of Qatar, Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani [Shaikh ‘Abdullāh bin Jāsim Āl Thānī], is also included and mostly relates to his wish for assurance of his jurisdiction over Muslim foreigners.
