Political Resident
A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency.
to Mr. Packer.
2. Reference 3ta was made to our London principals
who have informed us that the geological and geophysical
programmes, as at present planned, do not call for
flights to Muscat, and under these circumstances we
do not foresee that the Company will have sufficient
need for the uwe of the Muscat aerodrome to justify
any contribution towards the cost of its reconstruction.
3. It is doubtful whether our Senior Pilot could be
spared for a visit to Muscat to inspect the aerodrome.
The journey would have to be undertaken by car from
Sharjah and the visit and inspection would take at
least a week.
Yours sincerely,
Sd.
Lt.-Col. A.C.Galloway, C.1.3.,
