Agent, South Waziristan Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. , Tank, we have forwarded to
your address to-day under separate book post cover a copy
of our General Catalogue, which we trust will be found of
much interest. Kindly acknowledge receipt of the catalogue
in due course and oblige.
Since we have not published a subsequent oatalogu,*,
this 1930 issue is still current and we must ask you to take
the printed rates therein more as a general guide to our
selling prices rather than actual, as owing to adverse
American exchange rates and additional Import duties, m&ny
prices have necessarily been revised.
We shall be glad to have the opportunity of serving
you and tender you our thanks in anticipation of your valued
enquiries and orders.

Most of the correspondence in the volume is between officials of the Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. in Muscat and various horticultural suppliers and specialists in India, including both private companies and Municipal officials of the Government of India, concerning the purchase of seeds, plants and equipment for the garden.

It also contains a small amount of correspondence between the Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. in Muscat and individuals hired for employment in the garden, some of which is in Arabic and Urdu.

The papers are arranged in approximate chronological order from the front to the rear of the volume.
