I beg to state that my parents were from the inhabitants
of Ncjd, residing in Bahrain, where they were serving Abdullah
Al-dhotan who is a well Vnown man there. After my pareitits 1 death
Abdullah gave ns in narriag© to his slave named ’ Tl ibaraR • I lived
with my husband a.nd gave bith to two sons and two daughters. My
sons died and my daughters are now in my house.
My daughters were detailed to serve the wives of Ahmad son
of Abdullah Al-ahetem but the woman maltreated then and used to
beat them - a thing to which I did rot acquiesce; Ahmad there
fore bore enmity to me and used to threaten, and beat me.
I was therefore waiting for an opnort.uni ty to run away and to
take refuf© in H.B.M’s Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. , Bahrain, but this I couM not get
because one night Ahmad and four other men suddenly arrested
and bound me and placing me on a donkey they tool’ me to e village

and he sold me ay Catar to a man called Nssir A1 Jethairi. iVr
nan sent me to Debai (in company with one Ibrahim of Qatar) in a
Jolly-boat belonging to Fakhruh a resident of Bahrain. When I
embarked the ,iolly-boat I found there •'’our Abisinian slaves al no
some mala slaves.
On our arrival at Debai they lended me v/ith the Abisinians
at night time and when we reached the tovm we met with three
