This part contains interdepartmental correspondence relating to the rebuilding of the beacon at Ras-al-Arz, Kuwait (also written in the correspondence as Koweit), following its collapse in February 1922. Later correspondence discusses the maintenance of the light at Ras-al-Arz and how it should be financed. The correspondence also touches on the more general issue of financing lighting and buoying in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. .
