I have Hie honour to inform you that the
Officer Commanding, if NiiiiiCIiUS M and Inspector of Lights,
Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , has reported to me that all the lighthouses
and the light vessels in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. (as per list
attached) require overhauling as this overhauling 'has
not been done since the lights were established. The
Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. who were asked if they could
depute an official to undertake Hie work, have intimated
that the work in question is of a highly technical
nature and that they have no suitable officer who could
carry it out* Ihey suggest that the services of Mr* C*J*
Homer, Executive engineer, Burma, who originally erected
the lights, be obtained for the purpose*
2 * I consider that the deputation of Mr* Homer
to the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. for carrying out the work would be
very advantageous and recommend that it be sanctioned*
If this is approved I propose that Mr* Homer be sent to
the Gulf this next cold YifGather*
