In Government oi India, Commerce Department letter
•u81-3*IW.*, dated 18th December 1925, addressed to the
Director, Royal Indian Marine, Bombay, it ha.s been decided
that expenditure on account of lighting and buoying of
Persian o-ulf, should, with effect from 1st November 1925,
be recovered by dues levied on shipping using the lights
and that no debits should be raised against the Imperial
Government in respect of expenditure incurred after 1st
November 1925. in view of that decision, a debit of K8.36/-
on account of expenditure incurred after 1-11-25 but oer-
taining to the period prior to that date was raised
against the Controller of Marine Accounts, Bombay v&io has
refused to accept the debit on the ground that, it does
not pertain to the period after 1st November 1925, I enclose
herewith copies of letters from the Controller and and trie
Accountant General, Central Revenues, and request the
favour of orders of the Government of India in the matter. I
