’’Hearchus M in 1914 was £37,000, &
moiety of which sum The Lords
Commissioners of the Treasury agreed
to contribute. ThearLordships
therefore have a claim to a moiety
of the proceeds of her sale.

The “Lawrence” cost £171,000
in this country plus approximately
£1000 at Bombay. The whole of this
expenditure has been borne by Indian
Revenues, The Lords Commissioners
having maintained, on grounds which
the Secretary of State for India
has never admitted to be tenable,
that they have no liability in respect
of the despatch vessel of the Political
Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , the

however, in all other respects, borne
