In sanctioning one Civilian Clerk on Rs. 85-5-155
■per mensem for Bight-House Accounts in paragraph 1 (e) of
Marine Department letter Ho. 1498-M. , dated 19th October 19 22,
it does not appear to have been contemplated that the clerk
in question would be allowed free rations.
However, if the recommendation of the Direct or,Royal
Indian Marine, is accepted for the reasons explained by him,
the extra cost involved during the first year will be Rs.15/-
Civilian Clerk: and the pay for a
rer mensem, the difference between the minimum pay of a /

3rd Grade Royal Indian Marine clerk and Rs. 2 /- per diem as
messing allowance.
