information under cover of the Foreign Secretary s letter No. 10 -T., dated the 31st
March 1924.

Amjad Salar left on 28th. March for Meshad : his chief object is to consult
General Officer Commanding about Baluchistan.
Orders have been received by him that it is intended that Dost Muhammad
shall be Governor of Baluchistan excluding Sarhad and that whole of Baluchistan
will constitute eastern command. Exclusion of Sarhad is due to protest of Salar.
He thinks that appointment may be deep scheme for ultimately breaking Dost
Muhammad.
Salar who is perturbed by fresh rumours that we intend to dismantle railway
says that domination of Baluchistan will be impossible. He states that he dis
approves totally of alleged intrigue in Baluchistan of Shaukat.
