the sheep two Baluchis named All and Ibrahim fell upon me
and took me by force and put me upon a camel and took me
to a village named Shabm.iran and there they handed me to
Baikal's father called Muhammad. T remained with him for a
yoart Baikal has brought mo this year to kbor Fakkan and
put me up for sale to the Arabs who come there but no body
bought me because my colour is white. The news however
reached the kali of the place who represents Shaikh Said
bin Hamad in Thor Fakkan. 1 he kali took me, Baikal and the

boy uhammadub bin Sulaiman and sent us to the said Shaikh
at Kalba. A few days later K.B. Tsa bin Abdul Latif's men
came there and took us all to Ras-ul-Thaimah.
Baikal says we are his slaves: it is a lie, I and the
boy are kidnapped from our countries. T request the
High Government to grant me a Manumission Certificate
and desire to stay at Shar»gah with my uncle Vehdi bin Ali

The volume contains correspondence related to individual cases of the enslavement and trade of Baluchis from the Makran coast and Karachi, to the Trucial and Oman Coast, and in particular to Dubai. The correspondence is predominantly between Government representatives in Karachi/Sind, the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran.
