This item consists of extracts from letters from the Secretary to the Governor-General regarding the request from the East India Company's Broker Often a local commercial agent in the Gulf who regularly performed duties of intelligence gathering and political representation. at Muscat to allow the import of salt from Muscat to Bangal [Bengal]. In addition, the letter mentions some information regarding French and Dutch merchants in Muscat.
