A map showing parts of the Near and Middle East, including Turkey, Iran, and the Arabian Peninsula. The map gives details of geography, topography, major settlements, and some political boundaries. The Hejaz region of the Arabian Peninsula has been outlined in red, probably to indicate the boundaries of the kingdom to be ruled by the Hashemite leader Hussein [Ḥusayn bin ‘Alī al-Hāshimī], following the First World War.
