I am directed by the Secretary of
State for India to refer to your letter
of the 26th November 1937 in which it is
stated that your Company is prepared
(subject to certain conditions) to
provide the following facilities at
Koweit , viz:-
(a) to instal and operate a short
wave wireless station capable of
working with the Company^ wireless
station at Bahrein;
(b) to take over the postal work
as at present conducted ; under the
direction of the Indian Posts and
Telegraphs Department;
(c) to instal and maintain a
telephone exchange and subscribers’
apparatus capable in the first
instance of connecting up 100
subs cribers.
2. The Sheikh of Koweit has agreed
in principle to these proposals and it is
