Oordoo translation of a Hindee letter received from a correspondent at
Bokhara in the Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. Office is forwarded herewith.
A copy of letter lately received by the Ameer from his Agent at Bokhara
viz., Mirza Mahomed Tahir Khan, is enclosed.
In the letter received by the Ameer from Herat from his son, Sirdar Leader of a tribe or a polity; also refers to a military rank or title given to a commander of an army or division.
Mahomed Yakoob Khan, regarding his safe arrival at that place, no mention is
made about the despatch of Bahadoor Khan ** and
* wA Fukeer Ahmed Khan.** The Ameer, therefore,
to be deported to Cabul. expressed himself highly displeased with the Sirdar Leader of a tribe or a polity; also refers to a military rank or title given to a commander of an army or division. ,
and said that it is a matter of surprise that, notwithstanding that he promised
to despatch them at the time he was at Cabul, he has written nothing about
them. His Highness was going to send an intelligent Sowar In the East India Company army and later Indian Army, an ordinary native cavalryman or mounted cavalryman. to Herat to
